An Addition To Our Thanksgiving Spread!
Each year I try to add a new dish to our usual Thanksgiving spread; something to add a little variety and spice. Last year I made a new brussel sprout dish, roasted winter vegetables, and a tangy cranberry relish sans all the added sugar. Everything was a hit and I have been requested to make them again this year.
This year I am planning on making Peas and Thank You’s Cornbread...

Today Brought.....
Today brought me 90 minutes for 90 years of healthy life. I finally made it back to Bikram this morning after almost a month of just running and weight lifting. My body was (or so it felt) begging for me to get it to Bikram to let my mind be calm and stretch out my muscles.
It was so great to be back in class and with my new Manduka mat! The mat made big difference;...

I Have Hit a Plateau
I think I have hit a point in my running where I need/want to go farther. Granted I love keeping my weekly runs between 45-60min long because I still have the rest of the day to tackle. So on the weekends I have really been trying to get in long runs, but so far they have only been about 1hr 30 min, which is great, but I want to go farther.
I know I can, but I would like someone else...

Package!
Yesterday a rather large package was delivered to my office. And what to my wondering eyes did appear, but my Manduka yoga mat and carry bag! I wanted to open it right away and do a series of forward bend poses, but resisted (my office probably appreciated that).
As soon as I got home last night I laid my new mat on the ground and smiled. Yay, after all this time I finally had my...

So happy its Saturday!
I was babysat last night so I woke up my normal time (early), but I feel so refreshed right now. I think it is a combination of having a rest day yesterday and not going out last night. There comes a time when you know your tired ie. you fall asleep in the metro on the way to babysit and drop your Starbucks (yes I did that yesterday). So today feels like a brand new day and I have a FULL to-do...
