Wake Up!
Good Morning! Did anyone else wake up this morning feeling very refreshed? I did, which is great because yesterday afternoon around 4pm my eyes started to feel strained and tired…..this is not good. Clearly what I needed was a good night of sleep and that is what I got!
Anywhooo, just started the day off with a crunchy/smooth peanut butter and banana sandwich with a cup of...
Pasta Pasta Pasta
It is time to let you all know how my Tinkyada Brown Rice Elbow Noodles turned out!
The “tinks” as I am going to call the pasta was quite delicious and super easy to prepare. I used the energy saving method and poured the whole bad into a bot of boiling water for 1-2 minutes and then turned the stove off letting the pasta cook in the heat for about 20 minutes. After the past was...

Believing in Yourself
After procrastinating earlier today making my grocery list and enjoying a bowl of millet cereal I set out for my fun. I am not going to lie, I was feeling a little tired and wasn’t really sure how this run was going to go. But if there is one thing I know, it is if you do not believe in yourself than who will?
So total confidence and faith forward, I moved down the road trying not to think...
Mexican, Block of Protein, and a List of To-dos
If there is one thing this girl loves it is good Mexican food and like I have posted before, pretty good Mexican food can be found at Lauriol Plaza.
That is why, last night we made a trip to Lauriol after watching the OSU/Syracuse basketball game! Our table was full of Ceviche, chips and smokey chipotle salsa, drinks, a big Brazilian salad, combo fajitas, chimichangas, and steak fajitas to go!...

360 Degree Video Project
Last night (as you can see from my Instagram pics below) I got to see one of the coolest visual large-scale art displays I have ever seen; Doug Aitken’s 360 degree video production. Aitken wrapped DC’s Hirshhorn Museum in a 360 degree film, he calls Song 1.
I found myself mesmerized by the song being played continuously throughout Song 1, I only have eyes for you, originally sung by...

Running in the Rain and Crunch Time
Happy Wednesday Beautiful People!
Yesterday I did something that I haven’t done in a while and that is run in a monsoon or at least what felt like a monsoon….
Woke up at the way too early of 4:30am and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I thought what the hay I will just get up and get an earlier start on my workout. I immediately fixed a delicious peanut butter & banana...

No Bull!
I am soooooo excited to say that I found the “No Bull” veggie burgers today at Whole Foods! One of my favorite bloggers, Kathy, from Kath Eats Real Food features No Bull burgers on her blog quite frequently! Every time I read one of Kathy’s posts with a “No Bull” veggie burger I always want it right then and there, pronto, asap, no matter where I...

Pick Yourself Back Up
So yesterday morning while I was out running, I fell and I fell hard. A little root decided to get in my way and one of the toes on my Vibrams got stuck in it, so I went flying forward! When I hit the ground I felt scrapes and knew there was some damage. I laid there for a min to make sure everything was ok before hopping back up. Once I got up and looked down I saw blood and dirt on the right...

Today is a great day!
Can I just say how awesome today is! From the moment I woke up its been a great day, even with spilling coffee all over my dress this morning the moment I walked in the office. No need to cry over spilt coffee, best thing to do (which I did) is stick your dress in the sink…..and wait till it dries. I recommend speeding up the drying process by sitting out in the warm sun : )

A-Z Survey
So the other day when I was still laying in bed, enjoying a cup of coffee, the morning light, the joy of staying in bed late, and catching up on my blogs I came across two new things I wanted to try! Thanks to Janetha’s blog Meals and Moves I found a cool new blog post called A-Z survey and a new pizza recipe. I knew I wanted to give the A-Z survey and the pizza recipe a try as soon as I was...

Happy Saturday morning!
Today is already an amazing day and only going to get better. In a few hours I am having my first trunk show as a Stella & Dot stylist and I am so excited! I can not wait to share with my friends and others who come to the show the fabulous S & D jewelry. Each piece brings a statement whether big or small and shines on everyone. I hope my guests have a good time...

Backyard Burn Race Re-cap!
Happy Monday!
Sunday brought a lot of smiles and one in particular came from my experience running the EX2 Backyard Burn Trail race!
The night before I enjoyed tilapia a la cilantro, sweet potato mash, side of collards/mushrooms/english peas, and sprouted grain bread! It was spectacular and throughout dinner I kept thinking how much I couldn’t wait till the next morning and to just get...

Ready to Run
Bring it on like Donky Kong
Tomorrow morning I will be running the EX2 Spring Trail Race Series, Race #1 in Virginia and I am so excited! I have missed trail racing so much and can not wait for the starting gun to go off tomorrow.
I am starting to get some pre-race jitters, but this is normal and makes it all the more exciting. To help keep these pre-race jitters at bay I like to do a couple...

Snaps All Around For Bikram Yoga!
Man o man have I missed going to Bikram! I can always notice a piece missing in my workout and that my friends was Bikram. I’m going to be honest, I have been slacking in the Bikram department over the last couple of weeks and solely doing a lot of long distance runs, intervals, and weight training. I can tell I haven’t been to Bikram in a while because my knees and and hip flexors...
